Ain’t It Cool News recently talked to “Like Crazy” director Drake Doremus about the movie. He also talked about Jennifer and her character.
Capone: And I see Jennifer Lawrence is in the film, which threw me for a second, because I’d just seen her and Anton in THE BEAVER. Does her character respresent the real world crashing in on this long-distance relationship?
DD: She is. In a way, she’s kind of a perfect girlfriend for him and kind of the perfect person and she embodies what we think he would want or what we think he’d be with, but in reality there are X factors that you can’t replace in a person. And she’s sort of the perfect girlfriend in a way, but there’s something about it that doesn’t give you everything you need, you know?
Capone: How soon after you saw her in WINTER’S BONE did you want her in your movie or did Anton recommend her?
DD: Right away! She was the perfect actress for this style of filmmaking, because she’s so committed to the moment and so grounded, and she is always doing what’s necessary–nothing more and nothing less, which is exactly what I like in a performance. She’s just magnificent, and I was very fortunate to be able to have her in the film. Source
The official release date for The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire was just announced by Lionsgate Publicity. Fans can look forward to seeing this film in theatres November 22nd, 2013.

Actor Josh Hutcherson fears his The Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence is out for revenge after he made the Oscar nominee wet her pants with a scary prank.
The Kids Are All Right star has landed the role of Peeta Mellark in the much-anticipated movie adaptation of author Suzanne Collins’ bestselling book, opposite Lawrence as leading lady Katniss Everdene. The pair has formed a strong bond onset, but prankster Hutcherson admits his latest stunt is sure to have landed him at the top of Lawrence’s target list.
He tells Entertainment Weekly, “We have this fake dummy on set, this really gnarled-up scary-looking thing. The other day I put it in her bathroom in her trailer, and she told me she actually peed her pants, she was so scared. I’m sure she’s going to pay me back. I’m just terrified because she’s someone I can see taking it to the next level, and somebody could get hurt.”
The trailer for “Like Crazy” was recently released. It will hit theaters October 28th. The HD captures will be added as soon as possible.
A love story is both a physical and emotional tale, one that can be deeply personal and heartbreaking for an audience to experience. Director Drake Doremus’ film Like Crazy beautifully illustrates how your first real love is as thrilling and blissful as it is devastating. When a British college student (Felicity Jones) falls for her American classmate (Anton Yelchin) they embark on a passionate and life-changing journey only to be separated when she violates the terms of her visa.Like Crazy explores how a couple faces the real challenges of being together and of being apart. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Best Picture at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and of the Special Jury Prize for Best Actress for Felicity Jones, Like Crazydepicts both the hopefulness and the heartbreak of love.

Entertainment Weekly released the first stills of “The Hunger Games” including one of Jennifer.
It was a love-fest when Liam Hemsworth (The Last Song) and Josh Hutcherson (The Kids Are All Right) learned they’d landed the roles of Gayle and Peeta, respectively. The guys first met after Hutcherson worked with Hemsworth’s big brother, Chris, on an upcoming remake of Red Dawn. Says Hutcherson, ”I sent him a text: ‘Dude, we have The Hunger Games! I’m so stoked, man, this is awesome!”’
Before arriving on set, Hutcherson hit the gym for an intense round of training to better embody a boy who’s spent his childhood heaving sacks of flour. He put on about 15 pounds of muscle in three weeks.
Director Gary Ross on Hemsworth, here with Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss: ”On first glance he’s such a hunk that it’s easy to ascribe a hunklike simplicity to him. But this is a phenomenally subtle actor, totally in control of what he was doing.” Source
