Deadline is reporting that Jennifer is in talks for “The Ends Of The Earth“.

The Weinstein Company is tying up a deal for world rights to The Ends Of The Earth, an Escape Artists-produced package that has Jennifer Lawrence in talks to star. Pic is a fact-based love story about a powerful oil tycoon Ernest Marland, who has everything stripped from him after he is caught in an affair with Lydie, his adopted daughter. The screenplay was written by Argo’s Chris Terrio, and no director has yet been set.

Jennifer Lawrence introduced herself to critics and indie audiences when she won an Oscar nomination for her role in the acclaimed 2010 drama Winter’s Bone, but it took the rest of America a little longer to learn her name: That red Calvin Klein dress she wore to the Oscars helped a little, and then getting cast as Katniss Everdeen in the massively popular Hunger Games franchise did the rest. The first movie in the series grossed half a billion worldwide and cemented Lawrence’s ability to anchor both popcorn flicks and art house fare (and to imbue each with her strengths in the other), a dual talent that results in a high overall studio value.

Jennifer wins at MTV Movie Awards!

June 10, 2012

Congratulations to Jennifer, she won the “Best Female Performance” award at the MTV Movie Awards last weekend. Sadly she wasn’t able to attend herself but they pre-tapped her acceptance speech.

Jennifer, Josh Hutcherson and Alexander Ludwig also won “Best Fight” and her co-star Josh Hutcherson won “Best Male Performance“. Elizabeth Banks won “Best On-Screen Transformation“.

UNIVERSAL CITY, California — Jennifer Lawrence isn’t hungry for a Golden Popcorn anymore. At Sunday night’s 2012 MTV Movie Awards, Lawrence was on hand to accept her hardware for Best Female Performance for her fierce take on “Hunger Games” heroine Katniss Everdeen.

The competition in the coveted category was stiff. In her first-ever Movie Awards win, Lawrence beat out heavyweights like Kristen Wiig (“Bridesmaids”), MTV Trailblazer Emma Stone (“Crazy, Stupid, Love”), Emma Watson (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2″) and Rooney Mara (“The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”).

Several news sources are reporting that Jennifer and Kristen Stewart are interested in being cast as the female lead in the upcoming film “Lie Down in Darkness”, based on the 1951 novel by William Styron. Both of them talk in interviews about wanting to be part of the film.

Jennifer recently told W Magazine:

“I am obsessed with that part. I have this feeling of protectiveness over characters I want to play … If someone else gets the part, I’m afraid they won’t do it right, I’m trying to write the director … to convince him that I should be in his movie. I’ll chase him if I have to. I’ll sit outside his house.”

Kristen told Elle Magazine:

“I want to play Peyton more than anything I can possible taste or touch in my life. I want to play her so bad.”

Keep in mind both girls only expressed interest in the film, nothing is officially confirmed about their possible attachement.
